TELL CONGRESS: KEEP TRUCKS ON THE ROAD -
SUPPORT RIGHT TO REPAIR

America's supply chains depend on it
Tell Congress to pass the REPAIR Act and keep trucks and the economy moving

American supply chains run on trucks. Trucks run on independent repair.

Trucking companies and independent repair shops keep commercial vehicles on the road and goods moving across the country. But manufacturer restrictions on vehicle data, diagnostic tools, and repair information are making that harder and more expensive.

In the House, Representative Neal Dunn (R-FL) has introduced H.R. 1566, the REPAIR Act. A Senate companion bill (S. 1379) is also before Congress. Both bills cover commercial motor vehicles — and the Auto Care Association fully supports both.

The REPAIR Act would:

  • Ensure trucking companies and independent shops have access to the data, tools, and repair information needed for safety inspections, maintenance, and repairs
  • Prevent manufacturer repair monopolies that raise costs and cause dangerous delays in routine maintenance
  • Protect the $133.5 billion medium and heavy-duty aftermarket and the independent repair ecosystem that keeps long-haul operations running affordably

Ask your representative and senators to co-sponsor and advance the REPAIR Act today.
